The architectural brief for this large replacement façade project in the grounds of the Mansion House Dublin was openness and light. GLF were commissioned to design, manufacture and install a series of storey height glass curtain walls incorporating both hinged and sliding doors.

The large insulated glass units are split vertically, the joints are expressed visually with a specially chosen black silicone sealant. The central feature of the building, is the all glass central rooflight which is designed at an angle of 3 degrees, the glass is a multi-ply laminate construction which utilises Pilkington Opti White - Low Iron glass to maximise natural day light. Toughened laminated glass fins support the glazed rooflight.

The project won the 2015 RIAI Best Commercial/Retail Award.
